Good Luck Wayne-O

Hi Dad, I know you've just set off and are sitting at the airport at the moment, so you will read this when you are in the USA. We are all really looking forward to reading about your adventure and will be thinking of you the whole time.

Can't wait for the first installment of Wayne-O on Tour!

Good Luck,

Training Update.

Following the large number of miles I managed in March, almost 700, I was hoping to keep that up in April, but a bad cold towards the end of the month curtailed my riding a bit and getting the paint off the outside of my house still needed to be done. Since the cold has now gone I have been getting in some good long rides. Over the first weekend in May I did two rides based around the Forest of Dean area, which is VERY hilly, and was pleased to find that two long hard rides back to back did not kill me off.
Since then I have ridden most days and 50 to 60 mile rides are frequent. I still have two weeks to go before I fly out and in that time I hope to continue doing long rides and will target one day when I do a 'century' ride, before tapering off a little before I go.
