Pre-ride training

With Wayne-O already in tip-top physical shape plans are in place to capture the effort required to make it across the U.S of A. So, as chief photographer (and anything else that doesn't require physical effort), I'll be aiming to bring the big 'W' to life through images of training and some PR snaps of my Dad doing a great impression of Lance Armstrong! Once we've worked out 'how'. they'll be on the site.
Safe.

Physio Support

Recently been required to administer first class physio support to our supreme athlete of a dad. Ankle rehab is well underway and this is not expected to affect the ride across America.

Training Pre-America

Over the winter months of December, January and February I have aimed to do around 450 miles a month to maintain my fitness from last summer. There have been times when the weather has been poor, but generally I feel quite lucky that the winter has been reasonably dry and mild, so I have exceeded the targets I set. On the 23rd February I did an Audax that started and finished in Chepstow, included climbing The Gospel pass from Hay-on-Wye and was 100 miles long. This meant an 8h 55m day (including stops) and was a good early season test, also good endurance training.
